Preventative

Prophylaxis (Teeth cleaning): A dental prophylaxis is a cleaning procedure performed to thoroughly clean the teeth.  Prophylaxis is an important dental treatment for halting the progression of periodontal disease and gingivitis.

Sealants: A sealant is a thin protective coating placed over grooves and pits of back teeth that are hard to reach and clean. The smoother surface prevents bacteria adhesion and thus prevents cavities, and makes daily brushing easier. Children can greatly benefit from sealants for long term protection on permanent molars and premolars starting at age 6.
